Sombat said the the rally, which preceded the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) rally at Muang Thong Thani in the evening, was to call on PM Yingluck Shinawatra to apologize for the attempt to push through the bill which aimed at whitewashing state officials responsible for the red shirts killed during the 2010 protests.

He also called on opposition leader Abhisit Vejjajiva to apologize for his role in the April-May 2010 political violence which resulted in over 90 deaths.
