The police has issued an arrest warrant for two men allegedly killing Kamol Duangphasuk, or known by his poet name Mainueng K. Kunthee, a prominent red shirt activist. 
 
On 23 April afternoon, the poet was shot dead by a gunman on a motorcycle in front of a restaurant on Kaset-Nawamin road. 
 
Pol Lt Gen Somyot Pumpanmuang, Deputy Police Chief, also said the police strongly believes that Kamol was involved with weapons used to create situation in several spots in Bangkok. 
 
Kamol was a leader of a red shirt faction called the Declaration of Street Justice Group, an activist group calling for release of political prisoners. He was also a poet who regularly published poems in Matichon Weekly Journal.
