Police nab alleged member of red-shirt militant group

 
Khaosod English: Police have arrested a man alledgedly a member of an underground red-shirt group allegedly responsible for launching grenades at anti-government protesters earlier this year.
 
Yongyuth Boondee, aka "Deang Shinjang", a native of northeastern Roi Et province, was arrested by military officers in northern Chiang Mai province on Thursday night, said Deputy Chief of the Royal Thai Police Somyot Phumpanmuang, during Friday press briefing. 
 
Yongyuth is accused of launching several M79 grenade attacks around Bangkok during the six month protest anti-government protest of the People's Demoratic Reform Committee (PDRC). 
 
At the police, Yongyuth confessed to committing the attacks. The suspect said he is a red-shirt supporter. He was invited to join a red-shirtunderground militant wing, led by Chatchawan Prapbumrung.
