The military earlier raided his house in Kranuan District of Khon Kaen Province on May 30. The military on June 3 ordered him to report to the military on June 5. On June 5, a group of military officers visited his house again, but Pichit was not at home.

Pichit was released at around 3 pm on Thursday. He said he was summoned because he joined an anti-military movement. The military also ordered him to sign an agreement to stop political activities and not to leave the country.
